Our specially trained Care Teams work to control pain and other symptoms, as well as provide emotional and spiritual support for patients and their loved ones. Hospice is about celebrating life and viewing death as a natural process. Most people, if asked, will say they wish for a peaceful, comfortable death surrounded by loved ones. And hospice strives to meet that wish. Halifax Health - Hospice is here to help improve the quality of life and honor the patient's goals of care. Anyone of any age who is diagnosed with any illness with a limited life expectancy can benefit from hospice. No one is refused care because of an inability to pay. Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran's Administration, private insurance, donations, fundraising events, grants and private pay when possible.
